Redecorating

Mummy and Daddy left me alone in the house again while they went to "work" apparently it's a new thing they're trying out and judging by the amount of "Good Boy" and biscuits I'm getting I must be doing something right. It's not hard. I sit in my bed for a bit. Sniff around the kitchen counters to see if I've been left any slightly out of reach treats (just bananas yuk!) then sit on the sofa and snooze until they come home.

Yesterday I was sat snoozing and I suddenly realised I could be more comfy. I pulled a few of the cushions off the sofa and jumped back on. The comfort had improved. There is such a thing as TOO MANY CUSHIONS people. Six is too many. Four is the perfect amount.

So I sat and I snoozed when it crossed my mind that the sun was shining yet the evil Venetian blind was blocking the lovely sunlight. I'd seen Mummy and Daddy move it so thought it couldn't be hard. Oh how wrong I was...

I couldn't pull the chord as it was too fiddly so I tried to move some of the blind slats. Turns out they were all joined together and I ended up snapping one end of the slat off. So to cover my tracks I pulled off the exact same amount from the other side.

When Mummy and Daddy got home I used my best "it was always like that...see" face. I pretty much got away with it.

Holidays

I'm sorry for the lack of posts it's just I've been too busy to get to the computer. It's been eventful and luckily I've managed to sway Mummy and Daddy away from getting a puppy. The email I anonymously sent them containing this photo went some way to scuppering that!I've been away with Mummy and Daddy to the beach, both the West Coast, near Morecambe and the East Coast, near Bridlington where I got to run about on the beach and even opted to get my feet wet. I don't really like it as it feels weird but Daddy looked very pleased when I did it. I also spent a lot of time running around the moors near my home. Here's me by a pond on the moor.Anyway I'm happy today as I'm spending the day with my Daddy, I've been walking round the moors again.

Hope you're all happy!

Dog Round-up

Hi Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts I've been busy reading up on rabbit-catching techniques. Mummy and Daddy have started taking me for walks around some nearby fields which are rife with rabbits. I love chasing them but I keep hearing words like "rubbish" every time I let them run away. I think I'm meant to do something with them other than just run at them until they run away.

Mummy has been watching Crufts on the TV which is apparently a show I can't enter because I'm not a pedigree. I don't know what that means but here is a picture of the dog that won. A Hungarian Vizsla. If that big shiny thing is the prize then it's really not worth it. I'd need at least 12 biscuits to prance about all fancy and let someone touch me like those judges do. I did however notice a relative of mine, distant obviously, but we've still got a similar bone structure...
On Saturday Mummy and Daddy left me alone in the house, they came back just in time to hear my canine rendition of "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" they made lots of sympathetic noises and mentioned the word 'lonely.' A little later they mentioned the phrase 'Dudley must want a friend' so the next time they took me for a walk I ran 400yds to the nearest doggies and showed them actually I do have friends. They're still mumbling about 'friends' and have also mentioned the word 'puppy' I'm not sure what's going on but I have a feeling change may be in the air...

My First (my last, my everything) Venture Into The Music Industry

We've already covered what a fine singing voice I have so I'm planning on releasing cover versions of CDs. I'm cool, I'm a stud and I'm a mighty fine lover so I'm proud to announce my first release, due out in March.
It will feature cover versions such as: Can't Get Enough of Your Woof Babe, I'm Gonna Woof You Just a Little More Baby, Bark & Lovely (You Over There) and Walkin' In The Rain With The One I Love.

Available from all good pet stores it will cost a mere 20 doggy bones a CD. Personally licked discs are also available (ask for details).

Be Quiet, I'm Sleeping!

Yes this is me trying to sleep on the sofa and yes, that is the remote control for the TV. If I sleep on top of it they can't turn the noisy box on so I can get some proper shut-eye. It works for a while, until you look cute and a bored Mummy decides to try and take a picture of you. Believe me nothing wakes you up quicker than a camera flash.

What I Did In January

January 2010 was cold, colder than I've ever felt it. It snowed a lot, more than I've ever known and every doggy knows there's only one thing to do in snow...

RUN, FAST!! Snow is very cold on doggy feet but you don't feel it when you run really fast! Plus I get to wear my lovely jumper Mummy made me to keep me warm when I'm playing in the snow!
I liked running in the snow in January but I much prefer Summer, I can't wait to be sunbathing again!

Tails From The Archives

I've been too busy walking and chasing rabbits (and salukis) to pose for any pictures. Plus it's been too chilly for me to hang about while Mummy sets the shots up properly. I've been looking through my archives and found the first part of my comic. Hope you like it!
